Yerkes Observatory
The Yerkes Observatory in Williams Bay, west of Lake Geneva, is becoming one of my favorite KAP spots. The larger of the observatories has a 90 foot dome, and famed 40-inch Refractor, the world's biggest lens-type telescope. The building itself is interesting with detailed columns and carvings throughout the exterior of the building. Now that I know that it is this close, I can't wait to get a view through the scope!
